Invisalign Review – Moving Along To Invisalign Retainer 2/26

I just put my second Invisalign retainer is in!

I feel a little pressure but its not that bad. The pressure is the worst part of my Invisalign Review this week. Not nearly as bad as the first day of the first retainer. I also have adapted to pulling them out and puting them in easily.

Here’s a tip!

Most people put their new Invisalign retainers in in the morning so you immediately feel that pain and pressure. Why not put the new

Invisalign Review – How To Clean Invisalign Retainers

At first, cleaning my Invisalign retainers seemed a bit intimidating.

Before I even get the Invisalign tray and start my Invisalign Review my dentist started lecturing me on cleaning my trays. My dentist said to get those fizzy tablets that old people put their dentures in and clean them like that. Another person in his office that had the procedure done told me to let them sit in listerine and brush them. I wasn’t sure what to do… And we’ve all heard the horror stores of how nasty they get (the smells, the colors, etc.)

I hate mint (I’ve had to use cinammon and lemon toothpaste)

A little FYI – Mint has made me sick throughout my entire life. Just the thought of it makes me gag to the greatest extent. So listerine and anything like that I feel would make me gag alot. However (on a weird note), I love mint ice cream.

So without spending a ton of money on listerine and other denture washes. Ive come down with a system that Ive placed in my Invisalign Review.

“The System” to cleaning the Invisalign retainers

When you take your Invisalign retainers out throughout the day to eat, or for whatever reason… Put them in a cup of warm water and let them soak for 5-20 minutes (depending on how long it takes to eat). If you lightly brush them before you put them back in, most of the gunk comes off. Then before bed and the last time of the day that you brush your teeth, just brush them with tooth paste and water. That’s it! It seems like my system is working so far but I guess I’ll see next dentist appointment in November. Fingers crossed… My Invisalign Review for cleaning my trays wasn’t so bad afterall.

Invisalign Review – Day 4 – Invisalign Isn’t That Bad!

It’s Day 4 and things are looking better

Invisalign Review Thus Far:

-I’m getting accustomed to talking with the Invisalign retainers on my teeth.

-Only one person, a good friend, had noticed the retainers on my teeth. Everyone else seemed to have no idea.

-The pain has gone way down and they are much easier to take off my teeth.

-I am still a little self-concious of the retainers being on my teeth. I just feel more comfortable with them off.. I guess that’s what it comes down to.

Most of all, I think most of it is in my head. I’m just not totally used to having these things in my mouth but I am getting used to them fast. I can take them out for eating periods during the day and that’s a big relief. That’s when I feel the most comfortable in public is when I have them out. It’s still early in the process and my Invisalign Review tho and I think its only going to get easier.

One of my biggest predictions before my Invisalign Review and procedure was wrong

I initially predicted that the Invisalign attachments would be the most noticeable on my teeth when they retainers weren’t on my teeth. This is not true. My dentist did a great job of blending the attachments in with my teeth color and making them totally unnoticeable. Bottom line… THE INVISALIGN ATTCHMENTS AREN’T THAT BAD/NOTICEABLE
